That mission hasn't changed... but now we are taking a little different path as we transition from Sassy Pant's Candy Co. to Sassy Pants Ranch.
At Sassy Pants, we’ve always believed sweet should be bold. But now? We’re taking sweet back to its roots.
We’re shifting from traditional candy to nature’s candy — freeze-dried fruits, raw and infused honeys, handcrafted salts, rich butters, pure extracts, and small-batch goods inspired by homestead living. Think urban cowgirl meets farm-to-table freshness.

Meet the Original Sassy Cowgirl: Melissa Baugher
At the heart of Sassy Pants Ranch is our fearless leader, flavor wrangler, and full-time firecracker, Melissa Baugher — the one and only Original Sassy Cowgirl.
With a love for bold flavors, big adventures, and doing things her own way, Melissa didn’t just want to make snacks… she wanted to make a statement. Raised with cowgirl grit and a whole lot of backbone, she believes life should be lived loud, proud, and packed with flavor — and honey, that absolutely includes what’s in your snack bag.
It all started with freeze-dried candy. One bite of those light, crispy, flavor-exploding treats and she was hooked. Watching classic sweets transform into wildly intense bites of joy lit a fire in her boots. But Melissa doesn’t do ordinary for long. She saw an opportunity to take that magic and ride it in a healthier direction — swapping processed candy for nature’s candy. Freeze-dried fruit became the new obsession: clean, vibrant, naturally sweet, and just as crave-worthy.
But she wasn’t done stirring the pot.
Because while cowgirls deserve bold snacks… cowboys need fuel too.
Enter Sassy Steer Jerky Co. — built alongside her husband Scott. Together, they created handcrafted specialty beef jerky made with premium cuts, mouthwatering marinades, and just enough kick to keep things interesting. It’s rugged. It’s rich. It’s unapologetically flavorful.
And because “extra” is kind of her thing, Melissa added infused honeys, bold salts, and flavor-packed butters to the lineup — the kind that don’t just sit on your food… they show up and steal the spotlight.
